Yobo ignores Akeem Sodehinde sickness …shuts down Club Movida

Super Eagles Captain, Joseph Yobo has ignored his one time busness partner at Insomnia Club at Ikoyi. Sources said that while he visited Lagos before AFCON, he was told that the Movida is battling Diatetes and kidney diseases but the Nigeria Internatial refused to visit him. It was scooped that Akeem is one of those who missmanaged Yobo’s club then. This was why he refused to see him.
However, it was learnt that the Movida nightclub front man has shut down his highly patronized night club as he battles with diabetes and kidney related diseases. The club was being run by his brother while Akeem tried to get better, but for reasons not made public, the club was shut down last week Friday, prompting the death rumour.
“I am alive, hale and hearty,’ the once bulky businessman said ‘Though I have been sick for sometime now and that’s known to people. Death is not my portion’.

Akeem has lost a lot of weight since falling sick and now supports himself with a walking stick to move around. Close friends believe he will get better soon as he is currently undergoing comprehensive medical treatment

[VIDEO] Azonto – Wizkid

When you are the hottest girl in town, why settle for only one beau when you can have them all? That is the idea behind Naomi Achu’s heavy-hitting latest video for the track “Suga”. “I wanted a fun theme, so we played the boys,” explained the DC-based award winning femcee, who ditches her girls during dance rehearsal for a hot date with DJ Don’t Jealous me, as the clip opens. From a helicopter ride to promenading on the beach, Naomi is the man-eater with an insatiable appetite for sexy guys and even sexier outfits. In every scene, Achu sports the most fabulous pieces, making a fashion statement each time. When delivering her verses between the tagged-up walls, Naomi keeps it ghetto fab with a small faux fur sleeveless jacket, tight jean knee shorts, yellow ankle boots and side studded shades to die for. She later meets her girls at the club where she dazzles in her favorite sexy custom-made dress with sparkly embellishment around the chest. It is all fun games throughout the clip until Naomi gets busted while laying on one of her oga’s lap. A four men brawl follows until uncle Shoboy comes to the rescue in time before the end.

Naomi Achu gives mad props to her entire hardworking team. DMV’s leading directing duo Wale and Jeff created the creative video after 2 months of taping and editing. Celebrity publicist Hadja Kobele Keita was the behind the scenes consultant during the shoots. Naomi is also in awe of the men acting as her dates, “Each of my male dates fit into their date scenes pretty well. Don’t Jealous Me looked great in his truck, Femi was awesome in the helicopter, Psean was the best gentleman on the beach and Dayo rocked the golf course scene.”

Today, Wednesday February 27 marks the official release of the video “Suga” on online platforms. Fans will appreciate the uniqueness of every scene and won’t get enough of Naomi’s energetic and captivating performance. Watch out for more from Naomi Achu on

When I was a kid, I was outstanding in soccer, running and acting- Fred Amata

Fred Amata, no doubt is one of the most popular and successful thespians in Nigeria. The Isoko, Delta State-born dude has so far proved his mettle as an outstanding actor, film producer and director, and he has laurels to show for it. But one aspect of his talent that many of his admirers seem to know little or nothing about is his sheer talent in the game of soccer.
Just as he is extremely successful as an actor, Fred would perhaps have equally been a celebrated soccer star, but for what he termed as lack of luck, and injury that actually hindered him from competing in the game at the highest level.
As a little boy, those who watched Fred play street soccer had tipped him to go very far if he eventually chose the game as a career. Of course, his ambition then was to become a footballer, but the dream was shattered by a couple of niggling injuries.
“I would say that it is condition that didn’t make me play professionally. I went for a couple of trials but they are not willing to take me. You know it is politics. They rejected me. Maybe it was destiny,” Fred said.
The University of Jos Theatre-Arts graduate added that “as a kid growing up, there were certain values that my parents had imbibed, they instilled them in us. Most of these values were from an organisation called ‘Moral Re Armament’. They have four absolute values: Absolute-Honesty, Absolute-Purity, Absolute-Unselfishness and Absolute-Love. So, I grew up in an environment trying to attain all of these. I was a regular boy though I was a little more popular than my mates. When I was a kid, I was outstanding in soccer, running and acting. In my secondary school, I was already in to some form of acting.
“I had been playing soccer since I was small. I remember my first match. Then, I was in nursery school, I scored a couple of goals and everybody was like, ohh! I remember everybody was running around the pitch.”
Though injury and what he termed as ‘politics’ hindered his football ambition, Fred is currently a member of three clubs.
“I love football. I love different kinds of football. I love playing football. I love watching football. I love playing video football. There is nothing like football. It is different. Today, in Nigeria, I belong to three football clubs. I belong to the Actors’ Guild Football Club, Young Papas football club. We started it at the National Stadium about 15 years ago. In that club, we have various professionals. I also belong to the All-stars International Football Club of Nigeria. We have ex-internationals. We have most of the football administrators of Nigeria in it,” he concluded.
