(Opinion) 40% Of Men Are Not The Father Of Their First Child -DNA Expert @Richard

Dr Oyinwola Oni, a Lagos based DNA expert says that 40% of men do not know that they are not the biological fathers of their first child. Dr Oni said this while sharing his experience on how a former girlfriend wanted to force a set of twins on him. What he told City People below is quite interesting.

“How I got into doing DNA is an interesting story which all man should learn from. I lost my wife about 6 years ago. About that time there was a lady I have known for  long in Nigeria but who now lives in the UK. I now said I will be in Germany on so,so date , can you come and see me? She came in November and we were together for four days. She left. I left. I got back home. I lost my wife four weeks after that. Then she became pregnant. She didn’t tell me. She didn’t tell me. She waited for a year. After a year, she said she just wanted me to know what she did in Germany, that she now has twins for me-a boy and a girl. I said now that I can’t say anything. I am bereaved.
Give me time. How do you want my in-laws to react. Do you know at the 1st year birthday, I was in London with a friend. We did one year birthday for the kids. They were pulling trolleys around with the baby. After 2 years I bought her a car. After 4 years of loosing my wife, I now said let us now review the situation and see whether we can marry. As God will have it, I knew in my mind that I will do DNA before I marry her. Infact, we were even getting a room ready for her in my house. The carpenter was working. She was in the UK dictating what she wanted. I traveled to the UK. I carried her mother. Before I left, I told my brother this is what is happening. I am going to carry this woman to go and DNA if these children were mine. I will now ask them to come for the Ileya festival. We got there she was happy. I took her sample, took the children’s sample. We submitted the sample at the DNA center. We went to Italy together. We went for dinner together. Then I came back. When she was going home one night, I said let me check my mail. I did. The result of the DNA had come. I was not the father of the twins. Haa! I failed with 0%. If not for the medical lab scientist, those children will be in my house now, with me thinking they are my children. I can tell you this happens to so many men. Do you know that 40 percent of most of the 1st born don’t belong to their so called biological fathers, all over the world. Reason? Most of there ladies often have one or two boyfriends”he said

Asked why the woman decided to con him into believing he fathered the children, he said
“I told her, lady from the result, I am not the father of your kids but I will help you. I explained to her, we met in November, you gave birth in August, perfect. That is the time. You can’t force that on any clinical person. Any pregnancy month minus 3 will give to the AAA. We got 9(Day 9). I asked her a few questions. So how come? She was to confess to me that because I said she should take the next available flight from Heathrow to Cologne, the first flight was 6pm and where she was, was very far. She had to stay with a male friend that was living close to Heathrow and that was her day 10. She said one thing led to another and she had sex with the guy. She came to meet me on the 11th and she ovulated around that period. She didn’t know. Atimes women know, atimes they don’t. A woman ovulates only one day in a month and it last for about 10 hours. And sperm can stay in a woman for 48 hours. So a lady can have 2 to 3 types of sperm in her system and when she now ovulates, any sperm that is fertilised can immediately hit that egg. That was what happened to her. So, the sex she had on the 9th of that month, the sperm was still there till 11th when she now ovulated. Before we met on the evening of the 11th, the egg had been fertilised. There are so many homes where they have this kind of problems”

(Polls) We’ll Use Common Sense Revolution To Effect Change – Tinubu @Richard

In the build up to the March 28 presidential election, the National Leader of All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; the party’s vice presidential candidate, Professor Yemi Osibajo; and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, governor of Osun State, led teeming supporters of the party for a solidarity march to mobilize the electorate, yesterday.

WALK-tinubu

The 9.2 kilometre-man-march, tagged, “One Million-Man March- Walk For Change,” in Lagos State, commenced at 8.20am, from Maryland via Ikorodu Road to Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos where they later converged for brief messages from APC leaders.

Speaking at the event, Tinubu said the gale of change blowing across the country would sweep away the vices presently rocking the country.

He urged the electorate, especially the youths, to resist attempts by the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to rig the polls and subvert the wish of the people. Tinubu said the PDP- led government shifted the polls from February to March, thinking the month of March will not come, and urged the people to fight for their freedom with their votes.

“I thank you all for the way you turned out to walk for your freedom and marched for change. You all know that they postponed the election earlier scheduled for February 14th to March. Now we are marching for that change,”the APC leader said.

“We are marching for Buhari and Osinbajo and all other APC candidates. We are marching for revolution and this is a common sense revolution.”

Aregbesola, in his address, said Nigerians were tired of failed promises by the PDP and are ready to throw out anyone that troubling the ship of nation from sailing smoothly.

The APC governorship candidate in Lagos, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, told the gathering: “We told Lagosians that we will do a one – million-man-match and we have achieved it. They could shift the day of the election but they cannot shift our destinies.

“The only party that can give you a prosperous future is the APC. They have saying they will do everything to rig the election to retain power but you know that? All powers belong to God. 21 days from now we will embark on prayers and fasting. We will go to the mosque and churches nothing can stop our destinies.”

Senator Gbenga Ashafa, Senator Oluremi Tinubu and Hon. Olamilekan, APC candidates contesting for Lagos East, Central and West senatorial districts, urged the electorate to ensure the collection of their permanent voters’ Cards, PVCs, and not risk losing their brighter future by selling the PVCs.

(Polls) APC, Buhari Should Withdraw From Presidential Race – Fayose @Richard

Another press release from Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose. See below…

“Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its presidential candidate, Major General Mohammadu Buhari (rtd) no longer have moral rights to participate in the March 28 presidential election having lied to Nigerians on several occasions. According to a press statement issued in Ado-Ekiti by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, the governor noted with dismay the contemptuous manner in which the APC and Buhari hold Nigeria and its people.

The governor, who vowed that Nigeria will never be ruled by deceit, said; “In saner climes, you can’t lie and be discovered to have lied repeatedly as done by the APC and still want to stand for elections.” He said; “The new deceit from the APC is to use a photoshoped picture of Buhari for posters in Lagos, making him look like a 50 year old man, whereas he is as old as my mother and cannot survive the rigours of office even as a governor not to talk of President of Nigeria.”

He noted that it was appalling that despite being found to have lied on several occasions, the APC has never deemed it necessary to apologise to Nigerians for trying to deceive them. His words; “First, the APC Vice Presidential candidate, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, a supposed pastor posted picture of Reinhard Bonke crusade on his Twitter Handle, claiming that the picture was that of APC campaign rally in Kano.

“Second, the APC claimed that Buhari made a surprise visit to Chibok and went further to lie that the people and parents of Chibok girls were filled with hope and joy upon sighting Buhari and his entourage, and escorted him into Chibok with singing and dancing.

“Third, the APC cabal claimed that Buhari travelled to the United Kingdom on a working visit and used fake pictures to back up their lies that Buhari met with ex-British Prime minister, Tony Blair and had a television interview in London.

“Even when Buhari’s wife admitted that her husband was in the UK to rest, the APC cabal went on with their lies, using pictures taken in Transcorp Hilton, Abuja as proof of Buhari’s activities in London. “If a party and its candidate could lie so brazenly as done by the APC and Buhari, do they still have moral rights to want to rule Nigeria?

“God forbid, can Buhari and his APC cabals that are not truthful about their existence as human beings be trusted to be truthful to Nigerians if they take over power?”

(Politics) Ohanaeze Hawking Presidential Endorsement Like Pure Water-Chekwas Okorie @Richard

AGAINST the backdrop of recent endorsement of President Goodluck Jonathan by Ohanaeze Ndigbo in the forthcoming elections, Presidential candidate of United Progressive Party, UPP, Chief Chekwas Okorie, has berated the apex Igbo socio-cultural group for hawking endorsement like pure water.

Chief Okorie, who was the founder of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, as well as UPP, which he chairs, wondered in an interview with Vanguard in Abuja why the Igbo nation would like to play second fiddle when UPP had given the zone the opportunity by ceding the presidential slot to the area.igbo-people

He, however, said he was not disturbed as, according to him, UPP will spring some surprises in the elections, which would be the revelation in the 2015 elections.

He said: “When it comes to politics, this kind of thing has always happened. Even though what Ohaneze has done this time is a little scandalous,  it has not been different from what has always happened in Nigerian politics especially the Igbo politics aspect of it.

“The second republic people will remember very well that almost every Igbo political leader was in NPN and they were all fighting for number two position.

”It was so bad that what NPN did was to decide to give it to any Igbo man provided that he brings N2million at that time. It was for the highest bidder and that was how Alex Ekwueme being a highly successful contractor and consultant paid.

“He did not become running mate because Igbo people sponsored him but because he out-paid the others and that was what prompted Nnamdi Azikiwe to come out because he had already stated that he was not going to run.

“So, when he saw his own people clamouring for number two position, he could not reconcile it with the fact that he led the struggle for Independence. That was how he came and he came late and chose the smallest of the parties at the time – NPP (Nigeria Peoples Party) which was founded by Waziri Ibrahim.

“And when he was asked why he did not go to a big party where all his associates were waiting for him, he said his people were better of being majority in a minority party where their voice would be heard than being the minority in a majority party where they would be assimilated without trace.

“And the masses identified with their own and they voted for him while others who went to majority parties lost in their domains and NPP dominated the area (South East). Not just that, Plateau State had a shoulder to lean and Solomon Lar became the emancipator and liberator of his people.

“Now is not different, those who will always go to ‘food is ready’ will not be part of building anything. I founded APGA, it was worst in the case of APGA than I am having it now. It was only after we had won Anambra State through the court that the party became attractive. So, I am not surprised.

“As a matter of fact, I am not much disappointed by what Ohaneze is doing now but I feel sorry for my Igbo people. What has happened is that Ohaneze is simply hawking endorsement as if it is hawking pure water sachet. An endorsement should be a logical outcome of a negotiated understanding contained in a written memorandum of understanding.

“There are so many problems confronting the Igbo people that any patriotic, caring Pan-Igbo organization will present on the table and have it negotiated and as a result of that, endorsement will come.

“Look at Afenifere, they are now telling you the reason they are supporting the government which are justifiable endorsement. What did Ohaneze say, instead, they are busy denying whether they were given a particular amount of money or not.

“Is it not scandalous that umbrella organization that is supposed to speak for the interest of Igbo people has made itself so cheap? This is not the first time Ohaneze is doing this, it did it in 2011 but that time, there was no opposition and people could get away with it. Now, the situation is different. I am running and you will see what will happen.

“As I said, UPP will be the revelation of 2015 election when the results start coming in. Why is it that in spite of the spate of endorsement, the beneficiaries are afraid of the popularity contest that would be tested on the basis of one man, one?”

He said that he was not worried over such development, adding, “As a matter of fact, our party will be the revelation of the 2015 Presidential election. New as it is, the leadership of the party cannot be said to be new in the political domain giving the fact that I founded the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and I founded this one also.

“I am also one of four Nigerians that founded two political parties in our life time. Incidentally, I am the only one alive. The other three, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Mallam Aminu Kano and Alhaji Waziri Ibrahim are late. So, there is some degree of pedigree and political antecedents that can be traced to UPP leadership.

“Coming from that background, UPP again, did something very strategic, what it did was, upon its registration, to zone its Presidential slot for 2015 to the South East geo-political zone. We did that because even as at that time, we knew who the Presidential candidate of PDP would be and we knew also where the Presidential candidate of APC would come from.

“These were the two prominent contenders at that time. So, we felt the way Nigeria is composed; it would make for a balance or what we used to call tripod in Nigeria’s political equation.
