Ace Islamic Singer, Rukayat Gawat-Oyefeso organizes prayer for missing father, Gawat after 5 years

One of the reigning Islamic singers, Alhaja Rukayat Gawat-Oyefeso has organized befitting prayer for her missing father, Alhaji Rasaq Gawat who got missed five years ago.

Monday July 10th 2012 was exactly the sad day news broke that the famous Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) 10 senior staff got missed.

Since then, family and associates have been searching for him. He has not been pronounced dead but missing.

The prayer was held at Alhaja Rukayat Gawat’s residence at Ogudu , Lagos. Lots of Islamic scholars were present at the event.

Rukayat stressed that she was so disheartening every day that she wakes up to realize that her father was still missing.

“It’s so disheartening each day I wake up with the knowledge that you are missing. My darling dad is the secret behind my success  after Almighty Allah. I will forever appreciate the good legacy you gave to me and the best moral upbringing. I haven’t lost hope yet and I strongly believe you will return home hail and hearty one day. Life without you has been so lonely and meaningless to me. My dad is my confidant and my everything, I pray that the peace of Almighty Allah will be with you wherever you are .I am patiently expecting your return soon.


England Goalie Hart sympathies with Ikeme in hospital over leukaemia disease

England and Manchester City goalkeeper, Joe Hart, paid a visit to Super Eagles and Wolverhampton Wanderers shot stopper, Carl Ikeme in hospital where he is being treated for acute leukaemia.

Last week Thursday, Wolve announced on their official website that Ikeme returned “abnormal blood tests” during pre-season testing and further checks confirmed the diagnosis.

According to, following the sad news, Hart who could depart City in the current transfer window, was the latest football star to show his support by visiting the Nigeria international.

Former Bulgaria and Aston Villa star, Stiliyan Petrov who was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2012 but successfully battled the disease, also made a trip to see Ikeme over the weekend.

On Tuesday, Wolves confirmed that Ikeme will retain his No.1 jersey for the 2017/2018 season despite his battles against leukaemia.

Image result for Cristiano RonaldoReports reaching us has it that armed customs officers are reported to have boarded Cristiano Ronaldo’s holiday yacht as part of an inspection, according to Daily Mail.

The Real Madrid star is said to have been stopped at high sea after leaving a restaurant on the paradise island of Formentera near Ibiza.  Officials are believed to have boarded the yacht  on Tuesday afternoon.

Ronaldo, 32, was reportedly on the yacht with girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez and friends and family when the officials approached the vessel on a large boat.

The routine inspection is said to have lasted around an hour and a half.

Spanish society magazine Hola, which broke the news on Wednesday, published pictures on its website of three officials boarding the yacht.

Hola reported, “A Customs camera filmed everything that happened during the inspection.

“One of Cristiano’s relatives was the person who dealt with the administrative work and showed them the documentation they asked for.

“Ronaldo stayed very calm and at no time did he get up to speak to the officials or ask about what was happening.

“He was with his girlfriend Georgina and his mother Dolores Aveiro, who he was seen chatting with inside the yacht.”

The footballer and his entourage were understood to be on their way back to Ibiza when they were stopped.

The inspection is believed to have formed part of routine checks performed on vessels in the area, related to the paperwork on board to make sure the correct taxes have been paid.

The Customs agents are understood to have left after discovering everything on board Cristiano’s yacht, named as AYa London, was in order.

Spanish Tax Agency officials are not expected to make any official comment.

A source quoted by leading Spanish daily El Mundo described the inspection as “a routine control on vessels of the type that are carried out every summer in the Balearic Islands”.

Customs agents are understood to have made their unexpected appearance just off the Formentera shoreline as Cristiano returned from a restaurant with his mother, girlfriend and children including his new surrogate twins Eva and Mateo.
