Image result for Naira MarleyNaira Marley’s 2 million naira bail was approved last Thursday, 30th of May, 2019 to the excitement of the singer’s family, friends and Marlians (Naira Marley’s fans) as they hoped the singer would be heading home shortly after the approval. Politics: ‘Shut up, act like an elder; I’ve not left PDP – Jimi Agbaje tells Bode George

Related imageLagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the just concluded election, Jimi Agbaje, has asked a former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, Chief Bode George, to shut up and act as an elder.

The Director of Media and Publicity, Jimi Agbaje Campaign Organisation, Felix Oboagwina, in a statement on Wednesday, said Agbaje described his purported defection as misinformation that should be discountenanced, adding that he had never been a member of the APC and talks of his “returning” to the ruling party had never crossed his mind.

Agbaje was quoted as saying;

“People should please tell Bode George to shut up and leave the PDP if he lacks any value to add to the party, instead of being a dog in the manger hampering the progress of the party in Lagos State. Or how else do you describe someone who just sits down to concoct fiction and markets it as reality? He should tell the world where he got the news being spread round.

“These shameless party leaders have 2023 in mind. The game plan is mischievously simple: Give a dog a bad name and chase it away from the party. By 2023, this mudslinging will have scared off credible people from the party, which will leave the whole field to them to continue to corner party resources.”

The former PDP candidate, however, said he was too big to sneak out of one party into another one. “The reality remains that I have not left PDP for any other party, least of all APC,” he added.Image result for jimi agbaje

Shamful! C A F orders CCL final replay July 19th after VAR palaver

Image result for caf champions league finalThe CAF Champions League final between African champions Esperance and Wydad Casablanca will be replayed in South Africa according to a Moroccan media outlet, Arriyadia.

The second leg final, which was played last Sunday in Rades, was marred by controversy after Esperance were awarded the trophy following Wydad’s refusal to continue the game with the aggregate score at 2-1 due to the VAR being unavailable to judge a disallowed equaliser.

Having trailed 1-0 to a Youcef Belaili stunner in the first-half, Moroccan champions Wyday thought they had scored an equaliser through Walid El Karti in the 58th minute, but his header was ruled out for offside.

Replays showed the player might have been onside, but Gambian referee Bakary Gassama didn’t consult VAR to review the decision, which infuriated FaouziBenzarti’s side.

The VAR system was visible on the side of the pitch but the players had not been told it was not in use because of a malfunction.

The referee eventually awarded the victory to three-time champions Esperance after a 95-minute delay.

Wydad’s president said the club was “the victim of a scandal” and called on Caf to investigate.

But after a CAF Emergency Executive Committee meeting in Paris, France on Wednesday reports emerged that Tunisia did not fulfill security obligations for the final.

Also Esperance, who were ordered to return the trophy and winners’ medals they received on Saturday, will contest the decision at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The 1-1 draw from the first leg in Morocco stands.

The replay will be after the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, which ends on July 19.
