FIFA Order Cardiff To Pay Nantes $6.5m For Sala’s Transfer

Image result for Emiliano SalaIt has been confirmed that Cardiff City must pay French club Nantes six million euros ($6.5 million) to settle a dispute over the payment of the transfer fee for Emiliano Sala, FIFA said on Monday.

The amount corresponds to the first instalment of the 17 million-euro fee Cardiff had agreed to pay Nantes before Sala was died in a plane crash on January 21 while travelling to join his new club.

Cardiff had previously resolved not to pay any of the money even though the transfer had been completed before the accident.

The announcement from world football’s governing body followed a meeting by its Players’ Status Committee.

In a statement, FIFA said it had “never lost sight of the specific and unique circumstances of this tragic situation during its deliberations on the dispute at stake.”

Both clubs can appeal the decision to the Swiss-based Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Nantes had previously appealed in February over Cardiff’s failure to pay the 17 million euros they said was owed.

The plane Sala was travelling on came down in the English Channel on January 21 during a night-time flight.

His body was recovered, but that of the pilot, David Ibbotson, has never been found.

A report by Britain’s Air Accidents Investigation Branch in August said that Sala and the pilot were likely exposed to “potentially fatal” levels of carbon monoxide on the plane.

Politics: Real reasons Court ordered DSS to Keep Sowore

Image result for Omoyele SoworeIt has been reported that the Federal Court High Court sitting in Abuja on Monday asked the Department of State Security Service (DSS) to maintain custody of the convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Mr Omoyele Sowore, and his co-defendant, Olawale Bakare, pending the hearing of their bail application.

This was after the defendants were arraigned on seven counts of treasonable felony and other sundry offences brought against them by the Federal Government.

According to the Punch, the defendants pleaded not guilty to the seven counts read to them.

The presiding judge, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu said although Sowore had earlier been granted bail by the Federal High Court in Lagos on Tuesday, the bail earlier granted was not predicated on the charges on which he was arraigned on Monday.

According to her, Sowore needs a fresh bail granted to him before he is released adding that if she would have to grant them fresh bail, it had to be based on the formal written bail application and not oral.

She directed them to file a formal bail application and then adjourned hearing till Friday.

Sowore has been in the custody of the DSS since August 3 after he was arrested for spearheading the #RevolutionNow protest.

Trending: See the beautiful actress that took oath with boyfriend at 18, now she is unable to marry since then

Image result for Sylvia UkaatuIt has been reported that Nollywood actress Sylvia Ukaatu has disclosed that she took a blood oath with her ex-boyfriend at the age of 18 and, as a result, she has been unable to get married.

Speaking to The Entertainer, Sylvia said every attempt for her to get married has proven abortive and whenever suitors indicate interest in her, they end up disappointing her on the day of their introduction.

However, the man she took the blood oath with is married after refusing her pleas for him to break the oath.

She says she wants the youth to learn from her own experience.

She said in tears: “It all started when I was 18 years old. I fell in love, deeply in love. I was so carried away at that tender age. I was lured into taking a blood oath with my then lover. I never knew the repercussions behind such a move. I was young, naïve and in love.

“We played along. I was happy. I was eager to settle down. Then love became sour. I tried to walk away. I begged to be freed, but the guy refused, so I kept to myself and started living life to the fullest.

“Even when he traveled out of the country, I had so many failed relationships without knowing what was behind it. Suitors were coming, but on the day of introduction, they would cancel without explanation. I waited for many years for him to come back. But he never did. I desperately wanted to start a family, but that wasn’t forthcoming. I tried so many relationships but they all failed.”

She continued: “The guy finally came back last year and we spoke at length. I told him we should break the oath if he’s no longer interested in marrying me, but he ignored me. Then, a few months ago, my brother called me and said I should go and search for my fiancé on Facebook, that the guy just got married. I quickly rushed to Facebook and checked. I was shocked to discover that truly he just got married, but I laughed it over.

“Now, I can still feel the pains deep inside my heart. I want to warn the young ones out there. Love is not enough for blood oath. The guy deceived and used me. I ignorantly allowed myself to be caged for years. Let the youths learn from my experience.”

Instagram users were confused by her story and asked why the blood oath affects only her but not the man, and she revealed that it also affected him too as none of the kids he had outside of their relationship survived. She added that the oath has now been broken.

Enjoy it:

What is happening to Toyosi Adesanya in the industry lately?
A lot of good things have been taking place in my life as usual. I just finished coordinating a film shoot for one of our ace broadcasters in Ondo State (Adeolu Gboyega) and I’m right now planning to premiere my just concluded 2 new movies titled “The Throne” and “Prince and Princess”.

Can you talk more about the 2 new movies?
Yes, The Throne is an epic movie which was shot in a traditional movie location in akure, Ondo State. Its paraded stars like Abeni Agbon, Fokoko, Digboluja, Akin Olaiya, Bose Akinola, Laide Bakare, Taofeek Adewale, Olofaina,Omotola Gold, Tunde Ola Yusuf, just to mention but a few. It was directed by Tope Adebayo. Its a traditional movie that depicts how regents are normally being installed in Yoruba culture. The advantages and disadvantages of it, the menace and after effect. The Throne is fully supported and packaged by Moyinnet Entertainmen in Ilorin Kwara State, one of the best equipment owners in the industry at the moment. The second movie is called PRINCE and PRINCESS, it’s an ultra modern story of a king who was on a throne after the death of his father,he impregnated a lady who is a nurse and as a royal son, his mother (Olori) was against it and asked some hoodlums to get rid of the lady and her mother, God actually proved HIS power and the saga began.

How did you come up with the 2 concepts?
I’m the type that love to do a thorough research anytime I want to produce a movie that has to do with our culture. So, I did research of all the happenings in our society, and I came into conclusion that film making should not only be based on love or betrayals, we need to shoot more movies on drug trafficking, child abuse human trafficking and all that, we need to let the world know about the dangers in them and how to curb them.

What benefit do you think the society will get from the 2 films?
It will have positive impact on the society in the area of promoting our culture and educate our society about regent (Adele), we shouldn’t see it as do or die affair. It will also let them know how the position affects some feminine status.

How long have you been in the movie industry?
I got into the industry 26 years ago. I joined Odunifa caucus in 1993, under the leadership of Alhaji Yinka Quadri, Ogogo, Araosan, Abbey Lanre. I joined them through one of the leaders of the industry, Fatai Adetayo Oodua better known as Lalude. It was pure theatre and stage play then. We had to undergo a 4 years training which later turned 10 years because we had no where to go than to continue with the rudiments. I also trained under Rasaq Olayiwola Ojopagogo’s Music/Voice Coaching and make up under Salome Eketunde, Femi Bright s wife.

How can you describe your journey so far?
It has been so challenging, uneasy as you know that, theatre then has a lot of difficulties. Professionally, it is not a big deal, but thank God for where we are today as we are clamouring to be more relevant in the game.

Can you tell us what the challenges are all about?
It is not easy to attain the highest level in the entertainment world generally, but with endurance and perseverance, things will work as expected.

Tell us about your unforgettable moment in the industry?
That was the moment I was casted for a role in a movie produced by my boss Taiwo Hassan Ogogoro and the role was taken from me after 8 months simply because I don’t know how to drive. Ogogo tried all he could then but it didn’t work out for me. If it were to be now, staunt will see to that.

How did you feel then?
I felt so bad and relegated but show must continue. Thank God that a year after, I starred in Age productions’ film called (Morounmubo) which brought me to limelight. could you believe that my boss Ogogo was the first person to support my dream, after then I starred in Efunsetan Aniwura. A letter was even written to Tunde Kelani as the director of the project in 2004, the letter was forwarded by my chairman (alh. Yinka Quadri).

You are from Sagamu, Ogun State and you were trained in Lagos,Why did you relocate to Ondo State?
Yes, I’m from Sagamu. My late parents lived in Lagos, I got married in Akure and that’s why I had to relocate to my hubby’s place.

How did you meet him?
We met in Abeokuta Ogun state in 2006, on the set of a late film maker/continuity (Olododo). Myself ,aunty Faithia Balogun and Odunlade Adekola were in a canteen when he walked in to eat,one thing led to another and the blissful union kicked off.

How did he toast you ?
A week after we met at Abeokuta, I was in a bid to shoot a movie titled Koje Tuntun and we need some locations, during the location recking, I met him again,he also supported in the shooting of the film, he later visited aunty Faithia Balogun and tell her that he like me, aunty Faithia told him I did not belong to her alone that he should see my landlady. Guess who was my landlady? Olaiya Igwe’s wife, he went ahead and talked to her as directed by aunty Faithia, after that all my loyalists in the industry were fond of him because we don’t normally call ourselves friends, rather we are each other’s loyalist, aunty Lola Alao, Bisi Ibidapo Obe, Mummy Toyin Asewo, Madam Saje, Bukky Apesin, Wasila Coded, Surutu, Laide Bakare, Bimbo Oshin, Bose Akinola, Tayo Sindodo, Foluke Daramola, Dayo Amusa, Bisola Badmus, Toyin Abraham, Wunmi Ajiboye, all these people called my husband their brother, especially Kemi Korede because of the love they have for me. Till now Madam Saje, Ayo Mogaji will pray for us fervently. Recently, we had a befitting burial for Bukky Apesin’s father in Akure, my husband’s involvement and impact was felt positively by my colleagues, fathers and mothers in the industry. I will be an ingrate if I don’t pin point the fact that my bosses at the top were the one who supported my court marriwedding to Ayodele Samson Ileyemi on July 23rd 2007. I really appreciate them all. Starting from Uncle Abbey Lanre’s unforgettable fatherly role, Ogogo’s loveless impact, Yinka Quadri, Kaka and Araosan with their accolades. Could you believe aunty Faithia Balogun was the first on roll call on that day.

How can you describe the man?
My husband Ayodele Samson Ileyemi is down to earth, nice, intelligent, handsome and to crown it all my husband is a cheerful giver and a good Christian.

Xenophobic attack in South Africa, what do you have to say about the act?
It is a barbaric and unheard of, I’m about to say this, we Nigerians caused all these for ourselves, we liberated South Africans ,had it been we have good economy and good leaders, we will be mindful of our country too.

I will resume to Metropolitan Police soon- BBNaija’s, Khafi Kareem says

Related imageIt has been revealed that Khafi Kareem, the former housemate in the 2019 BBNaija show, has refuted claims that she has been sacked by the Metropolitan police UK where she served as an officer before auditioning to compete in the Big Brother 2019 edition.

The 29-year-old gave the clarification in an interview with SaharaReporters. Khafi says the authorities of the Metropolitan Police are infact expecting her back at her duty post as soon as possible.

Recall that while she was still in the show, the Sun newspaper UK published a story claiming that the Metropolitan police was embarassed by her ”sexcapdes” with Gedoni and are contemplating terminating her appointment. It was alleged that she failed to seek approval from her organization before going for the competition.

However, in the interview with Sahara, Khafi said she would be travelling to the UK soon and that her employers are waiting for her to get back to work. In her words

“No action has been taken By the Met Police authorities yet. In fact, they are waiting for me to come back to work. I will travel back to the United Kingdom soon and we would talk about all these things.”

Since coming out of the house, Khafi has granted series of interviews where she denied having any sexual relations with Gedoni while they were in the house.
