The Double Wahala crooner has just opened multi million naira eatery at his own hood where he grew up, Ajegunle, Apapa, Lagos.

Oritsefemi penultimate Sunday assembled his friends in the music industry and childhood friends to rejoice together in Ajegunle at Next World Amala Joint.

Sources said that Next World Amala Joint is located at New Road, Ajegunle, Apapa, Lagos.

Nigerian actor Pius Okaba takes over European Film Industry

Image result for Pius Okaba"Pius Okaba, a Nigerian actor and film director, has emerged one of the toasts of European film market.

The Berlin, Germany-based thespian has over his 10-year  career in the film and television industry worked in various fields such as Format Buying, On-Air Image Design, Content Acquisition, Content Development/Management, Airtime Sales, Directing and Production for both the film and television industries.
Pius Okaba is an alumnus of The New York Film Academy (NYFA) where he studied acting and he holds a Master of Arts Degree in Film Directing from the prestigious University of West London. He is currently pursuing a second Masters Degree (MFA) in motion pictures and is a residence lecturer at the Prague Film Institute in Czech Republic. His controversial film AYE, released in 2019 sees a wide acceptance across the European film industry.
AYE won the award for Best Short Film at the Africa In Diaspora Cinema Festival in Florence, Italy and was nominated and screened at I Will Tell International Film Festival, London, United Kingdom, Black Star International Film Festival, Accra Ghana, The South African International Film Festival, Johannesburg, South Africa, Africa international Film Festival, Lagos Nigeria, and Inshort Film Festival, also in Lagos, Nigeria.
Pius ’s role as a witch hunter in the most anticipated Czech fairy tail film of all time, Princezna Zakletá V Čase (Princess Lost In Time) which is expected to be released in cinemas across Europe in March 2020 has made him a household name in the acting scene in Europe.
Although, his appearance on Berlin Tag Und Nacht, a daily series on German television RTL II was a highlight of his acting career in Germany. He is currently working on his latest film which will be released in the fall of 2021.

How Star Actor, Juwon Awe was shot dead

Image may contain: 1 person, closeup, possible text that says 'R.I.P'It is no more news that fast-rising Yoruba actor, Juwon Awe had been killed by armed bandits in Ote, Kwara State, on Monday, police said.

His colleague, Ibrahim Chatta broke the news on Instagram on Monday night.

According to Chatta, the deceased was murdered by armed men while journeying from Ilorin with a female actor, Toyosi Adesanya.

He wrote, “He was young and promising, full of HOPE. Juwon was working in my industry as a continuity manager and a driver trying to make ends meet. He was attacked and murdered today by three Fulani and a Yoruba armed bandits while driving a known female actor Toyosi Adesanya from Ilorin. Adieu Juwon.”

Chatta also confirmed the incident when contacted on Tuesday.

He said, “The actress, Toyosi, who was with him when they were attacked is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital. Toyosi wasn’t shot but she sustained injuries when they were trying to run away. Sadly, Juwon was shot in the head when he attempted to escape and he died immediately.

“It happened in Ote, which is on the outskirts of Ilorin. Toyosi told me it was a robbery attempt. Toyosi, who was rushed to the hospital after sustaining injuries during the incident was returning. They were attacked and murdered by three Fulani men and a Yoruba armed bandits. Toyosi confirmed this to me”.

The spokesperson of the Kwara State Police Command, Ajayi Okasannmi-Jeffrey, confirmed the incident when pressmen contacted him on Tuesday.

He said, “The commissioner of police has ordered an investigation into the matter. It is a very unusual occurrence in Kwara State and the command is not taking it lightly. Sadly, a life was lost and we are on top of the matter. We gathered that the victims are actors. We have also involved local vigilantes, who are combing the bushes in addition to police efforts”.

Known for his role as ‘Juwon’ in 2018 movie, “My Stepmother”, the late actor worked majorly behind-the-scene as a continuity manager, location manager and sometimes, a location driver.

The news of his death broke on social media on Monday night and has thrown the Yoruba movie industry into mourning.

Other actors like Odunlade Adekola, Jaiye Kuti, Lateef Adedimeji and Fausat Balogun have expressed shock over the unexpected incident and condoled with late Awe’s family.

Nollywood actors, Odunlade Adekola and Ibrahim Chatta, have taken to their Instagram pages to mourn fast rising actor Juwon, who was murdered by three Fulani herdsmen and a Yoruba armed bandit.

Ibrahim Chatta wrote: “He was young and promising, full of HOPE. Juwon was working in my industry as a continuity manager and a driver trying to make ends meet. He was attacked and murdered today by the three Fulani and a Yoruba armed bandit while driving a known female Actor (Tooyosi Adesanya) from Ilorin. Adieu Juwon.”

Also sharing a photo of the late actor, Odunlade wrote: “Rest in peace.”
