Musa Bags Two Assists As CSKA Moscow Outscore Idowu’s Amkar PermNo doubt, Super Eagles winger Ahmed Musa is very hot at the moment.

Reports have it that he was in good form as he provided two assists in CSKA Moscow’s 3-0 win against Amkar Perm in the Russia Premier League at the VEB Arena on Wednesday.

Musa, who played the entire 90 minutes in the game, laid the ball for Victor Vitinho’s opening goal a minute before half time.

He also had a hand in the second goal, setting up Russian international Fedor Chalov in first half added time.

Chalov got his second of the game a minute after the hour mark, converting home a good pass from Mário Fernandes.

Amkar Perm also paraded their three Nigerian imports Aaron Samuel, Fegor Ogude and Bryan Idowu in the game.

Samuel who had a subdued game against his parent club was substituted after half time with Dario Bodul coming on for him.

Ogude was also substituted for Mikhail Gashachenkov in the 71st minute.

Left-back Bryan Idowu was however involved from start from to finish and was booked in the 71st minute.


Ighalo, Musa, Onazi others arrive Eagles camp in Poland

Image result for super eaglesOdion Ighalo, Ahmed Musa, Ogenyi Onazi and Uche Agbo are the latest Super Eagles stars that just arrived at the team’s camp for Friday’s friendly against Poland.

This was confirmed by the Super Eagles verified Twitter handle on Tuesday.

The new arrivals brought the number of players currently in camp to 18 following the arrival of Francis Uzoho, Elderson Echiejile, Stephen Eze, Joel Obi, Shehu Abdullahi, John Ogu, Moses Simon and Kenneth Omeruo on Tuesday.

On Monday, Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, Alex Iwobi, Tyronne Ebuehi and  Brian Idowu were the first sets of players to hit camp.

The game between Poland and Nigeria will be played inside the Municipal Stadium in Wroclaw on Friday, March 23.

Ahmed Musa is back to scoring form in CSKA friendly win Vs Elche

Musa Scores Brace In CSKA Friendly Win Vs ElcheSuper Eagles forward Ahmed Musa continued to impress on his return to CSKA as he scored two goals in their 3-0 win against Spanish side Elche 3-0 in a friendly game on Tuesday.
He has now scored in back-to-back friendly games for CSKA since joining them on loan from Leicester City.
He scored CSKA’s only goal in their 1-1 draw against Norwegian club Nordsjælland in last Friday’s friendly.
Musa opened scoring for CSKA in the 22nd minute before Vitinho made it 2-0 on 40 minutes.
And in the 61st minute, Musa scored his second goal to help the Russian Premier League side to another friendly win.
The Nigerian is expected to play his first competitive game for CSKA when they visit Red Star Belgrade in round 32 of this season’s UEFA Europa League on Tuesday, February 13.

Musa who has been handed No. 7 jersey was warmly welcomed by club management who wished him fruitful return.

The pacy forward who transferred to English premiership side Leicester in August 2016 for £16million, further said he is happy to be back to the Red and Blue Family.

“I am happy and proud to be back.  This is truly my home, Champion team that fights for top awards and occupy highest places.  I am back to the Red and Blue Family,” he enthused

Musa has only mustered one Leicester appearance this term however, when he found the net in a Carabao Cup clash at Sheffield United

Prior to his transfer to Leicester City, Musa spent five seasons with the Russian side scoring 50 goals in all competitions

CSKA are fifth in the Russian Premier League, with the division currently on a winter break until March.

Musa will be eligible to feature in next month’s Europa League round of 32 tie with Red Star Belgrade.

It will be recalled that the former Kano Pillars forward wore No. 18 jersey during his first stay with CSKA Moscow.

Super Eagle player, Ahmed Musa gets chieftaincy title

Reports reaching us have it that Super Eagles player, Ahmed Musa has bagged a chieftaincy title in Kano State.

The Association of the Northern Nigerian students honoured the Leicester City forward. He was turbaned  as the Jagaban Matasan on Thursday, June 15, 2017 during the commissioning of his Sports and fitness center in Kano state.

It was a very eventful moment as the ocassion was attended by the chairman of Kano state sports commission, Ibrahim Galadima among other dignitaries.

MusaSuper Eagles and Leicester City winger Ahmed Musa says he has found happiness once again after marrying a second wife.

Musa, 24, divorced his wife of  four years and mother of his two kids, Jamila, before marrying a new wife in Juliet Adeh last month.

Musa told said that he is  once again happy as a married man.

“Marriage is not new to me but I believe it was a right move to make when I did,” Musa told

“The past remains in the past.

“I’m happy now and I think well and I can focus on my game which suffered a bit.”

Musa  struggled in his first season in the Premier League, scoring four goals in 32 appearances Leicester in all competitions.
