I ve always wanted to contribute to the developement of the Nigerian music industry and that is why I decided to come home to help move the industry to the next level.Honestly, I am really pleased with what I met on ground here,if you consider where we were before you will appreciate the improvement in the Nigerian music in particular and the entertainment industry in general.Agreed, there are still hitches here and there, but its okay because that is why some of us who has gone out there and have garnered some experience decided to bring back home that experience to help build the industry and byextention, our country to where we truly desire it to be.
Reminded that the music industry in Nigeria might not be easy for because of where she is coming back from, she said” my dear, I be Naija babe o,so there is nothing like European Naija or omo Naija here.Infact,I must say that I am very proud of the Nigerian female artists, they are really flying our (women) flags high.I’m proud of Tiwa Salvage,Omawumi and the rest.I look forward to working with all of them,I did not come back to compete with them,I came back to contribute in my own little way the same way Tiwa came back to contribute her own.The field is large enough for all of us,I personally look forward to meeting some of them, that is the ones I have not met already. If you ve listened to my songs, you would ve discovered that my music kind of sound a bit different from what others do.So,I’m not in competition with anyone but with myself. As you can see,we ve been recording some new songs to sooth what is on air here. Not that we have problem with our works, but as you know, the Nigerian enveroment is quite different from what is obtainable in europe, so decided to struck a balance and I believe with the effort I and my crew members have put in so far, we will come out with something our people will really appreciate.
