Excerpts:

Can you introduce yourself?

I am Jay WYZ. I hailed from Edo state. I graduated from Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State. I did visual art. I am also into music. I have been practicing these since I left school years back. Today is my album launch at Crystal Lounge Ogba, Aguda, Lagos. I thank God for everything.

What is the title of the album?

It is Nuecleus.

Is New Clause your first album?

Yes, it is.

What were the challenges you faced while working on the album?

It was not easy. All these while, to work in the studio with other things I do, it has been very rough.  Finance has been the biggest challenge so far. I don’t do music alone; I am also a car dealer. And the money I make from my visual art, I invest them in music.

Do you think your album will be lucrative to cover this expenses?

I know it will. I have a unique style. Music buffs will love my unique selling point when the album hits the market. There are lots of messages inside the album. Lyrics in the album will calm my fans down when they are facing emotional challenges. Other things are also in the album in which people can learn.Image may contain: 1 person, sunglasses and closeup

Who are your role model?

I love Burna Boy. Wizkid is another singer I cherish. Most especially, I admire Timaya a lot. Timaya and I are on the same kind of genre musically.   I do dance hall.

Do you have what it takes to surpass these roles you highlighted?

Why not? I have what it takes. The constrain I am facing is finance. Once the finance is there, the sky is the limit. I will say, Wizkid, Timaya, Burna Boy are lucky that they are there right now. I am happy for them also.

What are the tracks on the album?

I have Brand New Day; is like praises to Almighty God.

There is ‘Wake Up’.  And other tracks are in the album that people can enjoy.
